Jose Pinero is the Founder & Chief Mentor at The Cultivation Company, a leadership development collective that specializes in coaching employees and rising stars in top companies. The Cultivation Coaching approach combines cultural and performance research, with self-discovery tools and proven guidance. This approach delivers tangible results and measurable performance improvement to leaders and the companies they work for.

Jose is also a Principal at YOJ Creative, a boutique marketing agency, whose clients include Starbucks, Microsoft Corp., Google, and the Nobel Peace Prize Foundation. Jose spent 18 years at Microsoft in a variety of marketing and strategy roles for categories such as new devices, Xbox, entertainment initiatives, business solutions, games, and consumer offerings.

Jose holds a Master in Business Administration from Georgetown University and Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. He also completed the UCLA Latino Leadership Institute, Northwestern University Executive Marketing program and has 20+ years’ experience in coaching and mentorship.

Jose was the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Hopelink, a non-profit organization promoting self-sufficiency for all members of the Seattle Eastside community. Also he was a Board Member of Global Partnerships, an organization dedicated to expanding opportunity for impoverished people via microfinancing.

Jose has received several awards, has been a panelist and presenter at key events, and has been featured in TV and radio outlets. In his spare time Jose plays electric guitar, reads psychology books, travels and spends time with his loved ones. He is a lover of music and trivia and was a member of the Recording Academy of Arts and Sciences (Grammys). He divides his time between Seattle, Los Angeles, and Puerto Rico. He is the author of the upcoming book, Mucho Success, summarizing how many top Latino leaders made it in America.
